1. India AI Mission Budget

   • Total outlay: ₹10,300 crore (approved earlier in 2025).

   • Aim: Develop sovereign AI capabilities, Large Language Models (LLMs), GPUs, and AI talent through skilling programmes.

2. Mega Investment in IIT Bombay Consortium (BharatGen)

   • Allocation: ₹988.6 crore (largest under the Mission).

   • Goal: Build a 1-trillion parameter Large Language Model (LLM).

   • Focus: Indic use cases across agriculture, finance, legal, health, and education.

3. Other Financial Allocations

   • Fractal Analytics: ₹34.58 crore → LLMs for healthcare, national security, and policymaking.

   • Tech Mahindra: ₹1.06 crore → 8-billion-parameter Hindi-dialect-focused LLM.

   • Total selected companies: 12 (8 new + 4 earlier).

4. AI Infrastructure Expansion

   • GPUs Deployed: 38,000 already in use.

   • Future Target: 50,000 GPUs by end of 2025 (+10,000 planned).

   • Subsidised GPU Access: Only Sarvam AI & Gnani AI operational so far (others pending documentation).

5. AI Data Labs Rollout

   • Target: Over 500 data labs nationwide.

   • By March 2026: 200 labs to be operational.

   • By 2027: 570 labs across India.

   • New additions: Fractal Analytics, Tech Mahindra, Avataar AI, Zeinteiq Aitech Innovations, Genloop Intelligence, NeuroDX (Intellihealth), Shodh AI, BharatGen (IIT Bombay consortium).

   • Earlier selected: Sarvam AI, Gnani AI, Soket AI, Gan AI.
